Hogwarts

Started in October. Finished yesterday.

Special thanks to my school's art teacher for lending me an Exacto-blade, even though I don't have you this year.

I used a floor plan uploaded by [link] to determine where each courtyard and tower would go. My camera isn't good enough to capture it, but I also put some small furniture/stairs/paintings in major rooms: The Grand Staircase, the Great Hall, Dumbledore's office, Gryffindor Tower, Divination Tower, Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom, and Fluffy's chamber.

This used a LOT of paper, and I am now all out of GREEN. And hot glue, which I used for the base.

I thought about making little characters, but then I would have had to choose a scene. And I can't possibly make discernible characters (Except for maybe Hagrid or Grawp) that small.

The very first thing I did was Hagrid's Hut (and that whole area on the one sheet of paper around it). The last part, which I just finished this morning, were the miscellaneous trees and debris. And bushes next to some of the walls.

My favorite parts are the Quidditch Field and the Whomping Willow.

If I have no life this summer, I might choose to make the Hogwarts Express or Hogsmeade. Maybe.

I hope to show this at TeenArts, if my art teacher lets me go. You see, I couldn't fit an art class into my schedule this year (I wanted to take Ceramics and Sculpture). And I've been neglecting Art Club. But hopefully I'll be able to display this.
